Young Entrepreneurs Give Back at Hutchison Beach ElementaryTwo Hutchison Beach Elementary students are learning about business, generosity, and giving back to their school community, all before they’ve even made it to middle school! First-grader, Clete Lewis, and his brother, third-grader, Asher Lewis, are the young entrepreneurs behind Toy Drop, their own toy business located inside The Shops at Hydrangea House in Panama City Beach. But these brothers aren’t keeping all the fun to themselves. Clete and Asher were featured on Beach Elementary’s morning announcements after donating toys from Toy Drop to help the school recognize students for positive behavior. At Beach, students who go above and beyond can receive a Positive Referral, a chance to be recognized for making great choices and setting a positive example for others. Two students received Positive Referrals today, and thanks to Clete and Asher, each winner also received a Slingshot Axolotl as their reward. As a Leader in Me school, Beach Elementary works to help students recognize their own potential to lead, take initiative and make a positive difference for others. Clete and Asher are already putting those lessons into action, using something they’ve created to give back to their school and celebrate their fellow students. We love seeing our youngest students discover that being a successful entrepreneur isn’t just about running a business; it’s also about finding ways to make a difference. Great job, Clete and Asher! |
