I am so grateful to partner with you for a year of learning and leadership at Hutchison Beach Elementary! Everything we do is rooted in the belief that every child has genius and that every student can lead. As a Leader in Me Legacy School with Lighthouse Certification, we empower students to take ownership, set goals, and build habits that help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Hutchison Beach Elementary, students lead their own learning by assessing their needs, setting meaningful goals, and carrying out action plans. They track their progress in Leadership Notebooks and share these reflections with teachers and families during student-led conferences. Through this process, along with teacher planning, reflection, and trusting relationships, we create highly engaging learning environments where students thrive.

Our students learn the value of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, identify and utilize their gifts and strengths, and participate in authentic leadership opportunities. They also develop essential soft skills that prepare them for success in college, careers, and citizenship. More importantly, they are on a path to become responsible leaders and engaged members of our community.
