Tell us about your student-led transition team

Our Leader in Me Student Lighthouse Team organizes a buddy program, where each military student is paired with a student from the Lighthouse Team who can show them around the school, introduce them to their classmates, and answer any questions they may have. They can also organize social events, such as welcome packets, to help these students feel more connected to their new school community.

How do military children access mental health services on your campus?

At Hutchison Beach Elementary, we recognize the importance of providing robust mental health support to military children and their families. To ensure that military children have access to the mental health services they may need, we have a dedicated and trained team of mental health experts readily available on our campus.

Our team of mental health experts is equipped to support military children and their families through a range of services. Students can access these services by reaching out directly to our counseling staff or through referrals made by teachers, parents, or guardians. We prioritize the well-being of our military students and understand the unique challenges they may face due to frequent relocations and other factors associated with military life.
